Anise Vance: Hope at the Ends of World: Resistance, Belonging, and the Revolutions That Define Us
Drawing from personal experience and family history in Iran, Egypt, and Northern Ireland, Anise Vance, author of HUSH HARBOR, will visit revolutions that transformed nations and the families that called them home in this story-packed keynote address. In asking if such tumult could occur in the United States, he'll center the violence experienced by black Americans at the hands of police. In so doing, he'll lift up justice and hope as twin virtues of a better future.
