Our room block is in the Waterfront Tower at Harrah's Resort, which includes updated rooms and suites and is the section of hotel rooms closest in proximity to the Waterfront Convention Center. NJLA has been guaranteed a rate of $124.00 for single or double occupancy rooms; in addition to this rate, all rooms will be charged a discounted daily resort fee ($10.00 per night reduced from $20), room tax (14%), state tourism fee ($3.00 per night) and a room assessment fee ($7.00 per night), which equals a grand total of $162.76 per room per night. This room rate has also been extended to all Conference attendees who book in our block for up to three days prior to April 24, 2017 and three days following April 26, 2017, subject to availability. Name changes may be made to room reservations prior to arrival at no charge. Check-in time is 4:00 pm, and check-out is 12:00 noon.
Hotel rates have not increased since last year, but we’re super excited that we have an even cheaper rate built into our contract for NJLA 2018! The best part is that NJLA isn’t been held to an attrition clause. This means, that NJLA doesn’t have to book -- or pay out-of-pocket -- for a specific number of rooms. However, booking within the NJLA Conference block does help us out. It illustrates to the venue that we are an organization that they’d be happy to host again. Plus, staying overnight enhances everyone’s overall experience by adding natural opportunities for informal networking.
Complimentary parking is included with your room within the NJLA block! Unfortunately there are no discounts for those driving in for the day and not staying overnight at Harrah's or for those booking outside of the NJLA block of rooms. More information about parking can be found here. If you book within the NJLA block of rooms and you do not receive a voucher for free valet and/or self-parking upon check-in to the hotel, please alert the NJLA Conference Registration counter as soon as possible.
The address for Harrah's Resort is 777 Harrah's Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
All conference attendees who will be staying at the hotel overnight receive complimentary valet and self-parking. Day trippers will find valet parking it reasonable at only $10. Pull right up to the Valet Entrance and leave the parking to them! You will enter the Grand Lobby and can either check into the hotel or bear to the left (just after Park Place Jewelers) to go to the Waterfront Conference Center. You will turn right at The Globe, pass some shops, the Pool, and the Food Court (as well as the entrance to the Waterfront Tower where the NJLA block of rooms is located), then proceed through the doors to the Conference Center. NJLA Conference Registration will be on your left.
If you prefer to park in the Self-Park Garage ($5, but a longer walk), you will use the Awning Entrance to enter onto the casino floor. Follow to the left, passing security, the cashier, the table games and Xhibition Bar to get to the Grand Lobby. Follow directions above to the Conference Center. (Check-in for overnight guests is in the Grand Lobby.)
Don't let cost hold you back from getting the most from your conference experience! The NJLA Conference Committee is once again offering to assist in arranging roommate matching and ride share options for our attendees, and details will be coming soon. However, don't count on us; reach out to colleagues through social media and regional listservs to find attendees that are interested in sharing rides or rooms!
